John Wall is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association for the Houston Rockets (NBA). Wall, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, was selected first overall in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards following one season as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats. Wall is a point guard who has appeared in five NBA All-Star games and was chosen to the All-NBA Team in 2017. For his first six seasons, he was the only player in NBA history to average 20 points, 10 assists, and three steals a game.

John Wall is one of the fastest players in the NBA. His 10.84 seconds in the lane agility drill (combine best that year) and 3.14 seconds in the 3/4 court sprint (second best that year) at the draft combine demonstrated both horizontal and vertical quickness. Wall has a 6 feet 9.25 inch (2.06 m) wingspan, which is slightly larger than the norm for a point guard at 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) in shoes and 6 feet 2.75 inches (1.90 m) barefoot.

Wall concentrates on getting to the basket and generating quick transition play, relying on his speed. He’s also a good passer, averaging more than 10 assists per game from 2014 to 2017, and 9.2 overall in his career.
